About Gilboa Quarry
Scuba Diving & Adventure Center
Gilboa Quarry began as a limestone rock quarry in the 1890s and is now internationally known as the premier Midwest destination for divers of all levels, freedivers, and snorkelers. Boasting spring-fed clear waters, a wide variety of fishes, and a host of underwater attractions, Gilboa Quarry has been serving the SCUBA diving community for over 30 years. With Maximum depths sitting at 60 feet on the shallow side and 140 feet on the deep, Gilboa has long been the perfect location for both novice and technical divers to practice their skills.
It’s not all about diving though. Gilboa Quarry offers amenities for those wishing to stay on the surface as well! Spend a day on the water using your own or one of our rental paddle boards, then take in the rays on our spacious sundeck, or lounge with your feet in the water on our sandy beach.
New for 2024 is a full-service RV park located immediately next to our quarry property. Cross a wooden bridge to find 41 RV campsites, all with water and electric services, fire rings, and picnic tables. A dump station is on-site, and the quarry office is stocked with snacks and camping essentials to make your stay enjoyable and worry free!
